After finishing out a rather stressful period, I again return to my favourite form of retail therapy- renting out half the damn library. Cheap, literate, and fulfilling. I haven't even finished the last load of books. We have:
White- The Making of the President, 1964
McGinnis- The selling of the president, 1968
Flanagan- Waiting for the wave
Schlesinger- The cycles of american history
Schlesinger- The politics of hope
Clarkson- the big red machine
Davey- the rainmaker
Machiavelli- the prince
Camp- an eclectic eel
I was considering renting Black's Duplessis, but goddamn, that is one massive tome.

But good shit through and through. Okay, not completely. There's that part near the end where he basically staples letters between him and the clergy. But the rest is good.
It goes by quickly enough. I did it in a day or two.
I believe my concerns were more material; as in, I've already got quite a few books stuffed in my backpack, and I'm rather concerned about not tearing some godawful teeny muscle in my back.
It wasn't as bad as Churchill's War Papers, which was also on my list. I was expecting, you know...a book, not half a goddamn library shelf. Still, if the guy had the initiative to write all that, and kick Nazi ass all the while, it's gotta be worth it.
